electronics
Nick, Sue and I were at Communica in Mooi St today looking for components for our installations. They really just sell the diodes and jimjams, so for Sue's lie detector and Nick and my Infra-red sensors, we will have to return with plans for them to make up, but it wont be cheap. There is a nice little shop round the corner as well (M Electronics) where the guy seems to specialise in security sensors. For wireless headphones they told us to try Giddy's or Hi Fi Corporation.

Interesting.
I'm wondering if that other place we found - (I found the details) AP Eletronics, 434 commissioner, fairview, 624-2944 - waaaaaay down on commissioner, beyond troyyeville if I remember, might be able to help.
Also, you should consider looking online. By the by, you don't want infra red sensors, you want infra red LEDs - which should be very cheap.
I didn't realize Sue wanted a lie detector. Why not, instead, use a biofeedback monitor? These are pretty cheap, and read stress levels by testing for minute amounts of sweat on your fingers. Simply, they send electricity through you, and the more you sweat, the more electricity, the louder it buzzes. You could probably feed this output directly into the mic jack....
Thoughts? Possibilities? Why are you guys not asking me to come in and chat abou tthis. or bringing me gifts?
